American Heart Association Heartsaver® CPR AED & First Aid

The American Heart Association Heartsaver® CPR AED & First Aid Course is designed for individuals who need basic emergency response skills for work, school, or personal preparedness and do not work in a healthcare setting.

This instructor-led course teaches participants how to recognize and respond to cardiac arrest, breathing emergencies, choking, and first aid situations in adults and children. Students will learn high-quality CPR, how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and how to manage common first aid emergencies until professional help arrives.

The Heartsaver course emphasizes practical, hands-on skills, real-world scenarios, and confidence-building techniques to prepare participants to act quickly and effectively in an emergency.

Successful completion results in a 2-year American Heart Association Heartsaver certification, which is widely accepted by employers, schools, and regulatory agencies.

Age Eligibility

• Recommended for participants 12 years of age and older

• Participants must be physically able to perform required skills
